I think I know the reporter this blogger is writing about. If so, we've covered many of the same events. He has never underdressed. If anything, he got some jabs about his preference for applying product to his hair. Some folks think Alabama gear is an improvement to anything. I'm not one of them.

There's a little more info on the APSE site, apse.dallasnews.com. It appears that many folks from last year's lineup will return. The announcement said there also will be some new faces, possibly including coaches and athletes. The deadline to apply is March 5.

I was worried the musical number would seem forced or would appear lame. It was a pretty powerful few minutes of television, and it seemed like I actually experienced the characters going through the emotional wringer. Great, great episode.

I think that question is dead-on. So-called breaking news does not have nearly the pop or lasting power it once did, and I think many young journalists have begun to focus on larger-scale, issue stories compared with hunting and pecking to get a 10-inch news story in tomorrow's paper ... and...

I'd be surprised if the SE there even notices a change has been made.
