magic johnson should never have left michigan state as a sophomore.
kids could play college ball for eight years and they wouldn't learn how to defend. defense in the college game is a myth.
first thing that ACC player of the year josh howard -- a four-year college player -- had to learn when...
saw tupelo live a number of times. own all their records and too many bootlegs to count.
they were great. but the mythology surrounding them and their "invention of alt-country" -- as tweedy snidely refers to it -- is WAY overblown.
the tupelo catalogue simply doesn't stack up to wilco's.
they...
uncle tupelo sucks compared to wilco.
that said, that new wilco record is awful. it's boring, bloated and with little to say. a real disappointment.
but hey, dylan made some crappy records too.
put me in the camp that hates it.
long, bloated, illogical, filled with cardboard cut-outs of characters lacking motivation. and a stupid love triangle to boot. just absurd.
when marty is remaking a movie that came out in 2002, that oughta tell you the man's washed up and out of ideas. sad. it...
kobe is the best player in the league.
his shots are at 20 per game this season, down from 27 last season.
he's making his teammates better this season, utilizing a revolving cast that has changed because of injuries to lamar odom, chris mihm, kwame brown, luke walton and now vlad rad. i know...
no, i just want to know why ballparks are half full. that is all.
why don't they make the parks smaller? seriously.
philly is brand new, right? it fits 43.6.
i'm not being an ass anymore (honestly). i am seriously curious now why they don't make smaller, inimate ballparks.
my home park always...
nba: smaller arenas filled to capacity.
the sport sucks. why is the damn arena full?!?!??! people should not be going!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why is my baseball stadium empty!??!!??!
what can we do to fill baseball stadiums?
do we need some public service anouncements?
please! baseball seats are lonely...
the nba. smaller arenas. fewer games. most venues filled to capacity.
should mlb parks have smaller capacities/and or less games so they don't feel so empty? just a question.
yes, that would be 63 percent of capacity. so i ask again, should the parks be smaller? turner fits 51,000. 31,000 go.
seattle's key arena fits 17,900. and it's filled to 93 percent capacity in its 41 home games. if no one cared, i figure it would be at aout 63 percent capacity.
so you've got what 10 parks ready to go? i want to hear about the other 20 teams.
tampa, milwaukee, atlanta, cincy, KC, texas, washington ,oakland, cleveland, toronto, baltimore, florida, etc.
hmmm, maybe it should bea 10-team league.
what point?
that salaries are similar?
that nba players aren't as overpaid as some would have you believe?
that the pure and holy game wastes as much money as the NBA?
someone should spread the word then.
someone should spread the word then. a majority of parks -- on average -- are closer to half empty. should parks be smaller?
chan ho park = $15.3 mil
mike hampton = $14.7 mil
richie sexson = $13 mil
jorge posada = $12 mil
javier vazquez = $12 mil
kerry wood - $12 mil
yeah, it's just an NBA problem.
