People here argue WAR (both good and what is it good for?) and other SABRmetrics into the ground until the arguments are ground into dust so it's futile to start that kind of argument on this thread.

But I liked it very much. Clean, informative, opinionated, on-point, not an ounce of belaboring something into the ground. Terrific use of stats and in my mind solid questions based on the stats.

This was a good graf:

The twist on this situation is presented when examining the MVP voting that year. Joyner came in eighth place with 74.0 votes and Canseco finished 20th with only 3.0 votes. So, the writers considered Canseco a better rookie, but not a better candidate for MVP?

Baseball voting is a crapshoot. All you have to do is look at the last 2 years with Miggy v. Trout.
