Gene Sapakoff, the lead sports columnist, is a friend and former co-worker. So happy he landed in a good place. I know he has been there for a long time.

My mom lives in Charleston and still gets the print P&C, which I read every time I visit. It's quite good.

The community funding is a great idea that should be open to all non-corporate papers.

It's an interesting paper for sure. Had a modest amount of family-owned bullshirt. But that project they did (and a lot of their day-to-day print-focused stuff) was very good.
