David Stern had USA Today reporter fired

That's an error by a publication that has seriously eroded in quality over the last 20 years. An error about a non-story doesn't make a non-story a story.

An error about a non-story doesn't make a non-story a story, but that story should have a correction even if the story in question was a non-story at the time and is still a non-story now.

Ha!

Possibly writers at SI got so used to fact checkers and copy editors saving their behinds from mistakes that Stern's quote just flew by the writer. But that sort of inside-baseball charge should have perked up the writer's ears immediately and either got him busy fact-checking it or flagging it for the first person to handle his copy. You don't just type that and let it go.

I'd love a demographic breakdown on the 202 people who are paying for Pete Vescey on Patreon. I wonder if they all ever go on a cruise together.

I appreciate that he only has one subscription tier, not five that get more creepy as you give more money.
