Because this is nonsense.

I normally ignore posts like this, but it gets to the point where yet another false narrative or wrong thing being posted over and over again just confuses others.

I have no idea what happened to the search function.

None of the moderators has any ability to control it, as I believe Moddy told people when this came up. None of us disabled it.

The only person who can fix it (or have disabled it, ashuming it's not really the more likely explanation that the site needs maintenance that it isn't getting) is Jeff, who owns the site and has control over the software running it.

Jeff hasn't been responsive, unfortunately.

Unless Jeff can fix it, it's broken.
