N.Y. Daily News changes sports editor to long-winded whatever title

When I was in Fort Lauderdale, modules were updated at various points in the evening. But if a Marlins game ended after the final cutoff, that score would not be in the standings of the baseball agate module, and a box score would not be there, either. That was frustrating not to be able to update those things manually.

But since the NYDN can't use modules --- and is being produced as normal in NY --- what's Barrow's beef?

Sort of a poor start by the new Poynter media writer. Why buy into the false narrative for even a paragraph that the New York Daily News eliminated the sports editor position? Clearly the paper wanted to fire sports editor Eric Barrow and replace him with an allegedly more digitally savvy guy, but the paper had no cause to fire him, so it "eliminated the position" and created a new position of sports editor with a new, B.S. title.

From what I know, they initially tried to move production to the hub, but it was unworkable. That didn't last long. Production was moved back to New York.

Also, it's difficult to rely on the Post for accurate, unbiased reporting on the Daily News.
