RIP James Earl Jones

Oh man. Absolute legend. Hard to pick my favorite - so many incredible performances. So I'll go with one of his lesser known ones.

RIP Darth. To the cornfields.

Saw him do the National Anthem in Philly before Game 4 of the NLCS in 1978. He was there for an off-Broadway tryout of a play about Paul Robeson. Didn't even try to mess with the high notes. Jones RECITED the anthem. For anyone else, it'd be ridiculous and humiliating. He of course made it sound great.
