Thought-provoking interview questions

We've all had to do that interview with a prep performer who seems like they're about to flatline, or a college coach who would rather be anywhere else at that moment.

So, I thought maybe we could help each other out and compile a list of truly thought-provoking interview questions that seem to incite some lively quotes from sources.

Allow me to begin ...

1) What's on your Ipod right now?

2) People might be surprised to know I like ...

Saw a paper where they do a weekly Q & A.
One of the questions was:
"Brazilian or natural?"
The female basketball player's reply was:

To me, that might be crossing the line.

"So, what's on your iPod?"

"I don't have one. Don't have a father, either."

"Oh, well ... alright, fill in the blank: People might be surprised to know I like ..."

"I like it when people ask me real questions. When will you?"

The best question in the world is this: Why?

Use why correctly and you will never have an interview "flatline." Ask a grumpy, self-important college basketball coach what's on his iPod and he might kill you.

Ok. I'll bite...

Why?
