Just discovered that Simers joined Twitter in May. Many of his posts blast his former employer and its sports coverage.

He also has a blog: https://tjpage2.blog

Note: I wasn't sure if this was Sports and News or Journalism, so I put it in Anything Goes. Mods, please move if it belongs elsewhere.

I've seen enough to think that for all of the problems with newspapers/websites, writers aren't as relevant or vibrant on their own. Something about that connection with readers, the teamwork, the pressure, the access and habit of producing daily and the brand of a newspaper matters. We learn pretty quickly that guy blogging on his own isn't as interesting as person out there reporting and writing from the scenes.
