I owe well into six figures in student loans. The only reason we are able to manage a reasonable existence is due to the Income Based Repayment Plan passed under President Obama and opposed by Republicans. Now we have to hope that a Democratic Congress and president eventually gets rid of the "tax bomb" waiting for us at the end of 20 years (God willing).

 

I'll bet there were some disasters for local economies and people who lost their jobs through BRAC.

 

I'll also bet there were a few disasters for the families of people who were killed in Iraq or Afghanistan.
