    If Merrick actually gave a diddly shit about upholding the laws of the nation, he'd give Jack Smith a knowing nod, and within about two weeks the DOJ would issue about a dozen felony indictments of Fatfuck based strictly upon his public actions while in office. Potential sentences could involve decades in prison -- or more.

    Double jeopardy of course does not apply because impeachment, with conviction or not, is not a criminal matter. So his "acquittal" carries no legal weight as well.

    Getting beyond charges based on fully public actions, additional charges resulting from forensic investigations and witness testimony could number into the thousands.
