Yeah, we got very lucky the storm veered just enough east at the end to miss us. But that meant terrible disaster for places like Boone and Asheville. My heart goes out to the people there.

 

True. But an extremely young team that had a 0.2 percent chance of making the postseason seven weeks ago will make for a satisfying offseason, no matter what happens next.

Thinking back on the Cubs collapse last year and feeling for Twins fans.

That said, rooting for the Tigers, Royals and Guards. Those are fun stories.

And I hope Ohtani hits .787 this postseason.

Maybe. It would be admitting the previous leadership plan was flawed, and the Cards owners would be loathe to do that.

 

Also would require Mozeliak to leave this year instead of next year. Schumaker is going to have a ton of options and won't have to take a gig where he's running the risk of becoming an inherited manager in a year.

 

Yeah, Ken Rosenthal reported on this a couple of days ago. Until that report, I was unaware The Moz was planning on retiring next year.
When it comes to "Cardinals Nation" though, it's sorta like out of sight out of mind for me.
