    Yeah, we got very lucky the storm veered just enough east at the end to miss us. But that meant terrible disaster for places like Boone and Asheville. My heart goes out to the people there.

    True. But an extremely young team that had a 0.2 percent chance of making the postseason seven weeks ago will make for a satisfying offseason, no matter what happens next.

    It's really different than the expectations of 2012, when Dombrowski's "hired baseball mercenaries" got ambushed in San Francisco.

    And pity poor Twins fans. How does Minnesota completely collapse like that? Tigers and Royals both in, playing the weekend to decide who goes to Baltimore and who goes to Houston.

    Thinking back on the Cubs collapse last year and feeling for Twins fans.

    That said, rooting for the Tigers, Royals and Guards. Those are fun stories.

    And I hope Ohtani hits .787 this postseason.

    Fuck, I love baseball.
