Simply put, for those who might not still know, Roy Cooper vetoed a bill that the GOP tried to ram through that would not only provide financial relief for those in Western North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but also kneecap the authority of the governor, lieutenant governor and others – all Dems, of course – in the process.

Stay classy, GOP. (And because the Republican supermajority is no more, they won't be able to override Cooper's veto which will upset them. Too bad.)

Trump demands immediate release of Oct. 7 hostages,
says otherwise there will be ‘HELL TO PAY’

NEW YORK (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump is demanding the immediate release of Israeli hostages still being held in Gaza, saying that if they are not freed before he is sworn into office for a second term there will be “HELL TO PAY.”

“Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social site.

He added that, “Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!”

It was not immediately clear whether Trump was threatening to directly involve the U.S. military in Israel’s ongoing campaign against Hamas in Gaza. Trump allies have said he hopes there will be a ceasefire and hostage release deal before he returns to office early next year.

 

Warren would never let Trump join Alotian - just as his Daddy would never let him join Augusta - but he will gladly take a political appointment from him.

(Nothing pissed me off more than working for a second-gen billionaire whose toadies locked the supply cabinet to cut back on expenses like pens and reporter’s notebooks.)

Hilarious that people actually believe that the Hunter Biden pardon is the thing which will lead Trump to pardon the January 6th traitors. He plays a fucking anthem sung by them before each of his rallies and talks about them as martyrs.
