    Exactly. I despise Trump but the Constitution gives the president the power to pardon. There’s no ambiguity.

    Our system places outlandishly excessive good faith in the chief executive and assumes he will not be a trash human being.

    For a group of cynics that was one large leap to make, and we're paying for it.

    Rick, they also never imagined we'd elect a football coach to Senate who didn't know what the branches of government were.

    Trump is the person a good half of the Federalist Papers were about.

    My question for the story, which is paywalled, is how Trump's cronyism pardon count compares to other presidents. I presume the story answers that question.
