This all makes me wonder if some of the UFO sightings over the years explained away as weather balloons were actually spy balloons.

 

I've always believed UFO sightings in the past had a terrestrial or otherwise explainable astronomical origin in the end. Shooting at the planet Venus? Get real.

While our skies were being used to fetch data, I’d like to think we were doing the same to the Chinese and Russians on at least an equal scale. Perhaps that’s quite naive.

 

That was what an article I think was posted here speculated. Navy pilots are seeing odd things, especially during large training exercises.
