    I was a big space fan as a kid.
    I read Grissom's biography, basically, if he hadn't died, he was supposed to be the first man to walk on the moon.
    Gus goes from chance to be one of the most historical figures ever to a footnote.
    Bad enough he got a bum rap from Liberty Bell 7 sinking.
    BTW, first man to go into space twice (LB7 and Gemini 3).
    Also, there's a Star Trek movie with a starship named USS Grissom.
    Guy was a hero, just had lousy luck, following Shepard and before Glenn.
    RIP Gus (also Roger and Ed).
