Just out of curiousity, can the Gov. step in and give him a pardon on this?

Or, at least, somebody can ...
Constitution of the State of Georgia
Section II. State Board of Pardons and Paroles
    Paragraph II. Powers and authority.
    (a) Except as otherwise provided in this Paragraph, the State Board of Pardons and Paroles shall be vested with the power of executive clemency, including the powers to grant reprieves, pardons, and paroles; to commute penalties; to remove disabilities imposed by law; and to remit any part of a sentence for any offense against the state after conviction.

  3. And of course, race has nothing to do with this.

Sonny Pardue is too busy writing letters to the AJC about their Bulldogs coverage to care about righting a miscarriage of justice.

sounds nice in theory but it doesn't really work that way. prosecutors have some discretion in some types of cases but not when the facts are so obvious and the law is written very clearly so as to leave no doubt.

This guy is in a room watching his friends gang rape a 17 year old girl, does nothing to stop it, in fact doesn't see anything wrong with it since he allows himself to appear in the video, and he's the wronged party? I'm missing something. He sounds like a piece of shit that got punished, albeit harshly. If someone is getting raped in front of you and you don't try to stop it, your guilty of something, if not rape. 10 years is a lot, but this guy shouldn't walk off scott free. He's no victim.

In other words, you have nothing interesting to say and you know it, so you throw that out there to look like you have something.

Facts seem to be getting in the way of the original direction of this thread.
