100th PGA Championship thread

  1. McCord drove me up a wall with his cheerleading. Normally, I don't mind him. Yesterday... He was killing me. Pepper was solid.
    Where was Feherty?

TW shoots 64 an never hit a fairway on the front 9. He had only 10 putts on the front 9.

I wasn't rooting for TW for nostalgia. I want him to bag another major and maybe 2 more after that. It wasn't a throwback to my younger days or any of that crap ... If that was Mickelson or Watson (apologies to @Chef2 ) or Cink, I would have probably been pulling for Koepka.
    I'm not a Scott fan.

    How long until the Masters?

The 2019 Masters is only 235 days away.
Hell, I predicted Koepka to win, and I was even pulling for Woods.

So, TW muscles his way back into major contention after serial knee and back surgeries that would cripple ordinary mortals, and with fundamental flaws in his game. At 42.

    Nothing to see here.

He’s right. None of horrible driving shit would have flown at Augusta.

That’s why the British is his best chance.

But it’s still going to be hard. Just to win one. Golf is much much better than 15 years ago. Look at the last 5 winners of the PGA championship. There just aren’t many weak winners any more.

So Woods is to be criticized for taking advantage of the conditions. How many of Koepka's drives that ended on edges of fairways would've bounced into the rough if it was dry and fast? Don't know and it doesn't matter.
    Feherty is now with NBC.

Verne's voice is shot, and man has he been banished.
Personally, I can't stand listening to announcers who have lost their voice. Sorry, got to go.

15 years ago, the leaders would melt when Tiger made a run. Guys like Koepka don't but you have to credit Tiger in part for that. A generation of golfers raised on watching him obliterate fields learned how to play with no fear.

Huggan is going to take the contrarian view no matter what. I don't think he believes half of what he spouts. And he doesn't think Tiger had the conditions in mind when he executed shots?

And has been for two years. Some folks can't quite keep up.
