I'm more thinking about mental health records.

Is it possible the parents live a third-shift life due to work?

The kid should still be home in bed.

Went to dinner at a usual place. Bartender I know and banter with a lot said the nephew of a good friend of his was in the theater and injured, but the girlfriend of the nephew is one of the 10 in the theater.

Punchgut.

Bubbler, when I said "sucks for you" I meant "your movie is over." When my wife and I bring our child out anywhere, the second she starts to fuss one of us Usain Bolt's out of wherever we are with her.
If a child is sleeping and continues to sleep, I don't see the harm of bringing them places; I think going to a late show is a better bet than a matinee with an infant because the chances are better you'll actually get to stay for the whole movie at a late showing than a 2 p.m. one.

Hard to think of a worse place for a determined nut job to pull this than a modern movie theater.

Most "screening rooms" have one main entrance from the rear -- the one people would immediately think to use. Many places have tiered seating, which is great for seeing the movie, but must have been horrible as people tried to get back to the entry-level row and tried to escape.

Horrible, horrible crime. My thoughts go out to that young broadcast journalist and all the other victims who were trying to enjoy a movie when some lunatic opened fire.

Oh, no question. I don't care about the nuances of why the guy did it. Murder is old as time.

I care about how fucking easy it is for someone to kill so many people.

I don't want to get in his head. I want to get the gun out of his hands.

It's possible. You'd be surprised how many younger kids I have to dodge when doing grocery shopping at midnight. But the movie I need to see in a midnight showing hasn't been made yet.
