    There are very sick and very crazy people in this world, and you pray that your family is no where near them when they decide to start taking lives.

    There is no real defense to the randomness of this. Society can take the guns (or types of guns) out of his hands or make sure he was properly medicated, but you cannot live in fear.

    Horrific. Terrifying. Prayers for the victims.
    Couple of things. Several victims appear to be young children. What the fuck is a 6 year old doing at a midnight showing? Or seeing the movie at all? Certainly don't deserve this, to be sure, but what the he'll were the parents thinking?
    Also, CNN doesn't describe to AP, which has continued to bite them recently

    I don't venture to Aurora, but this is the first time in my eight-plus years out here of anything happening at this mall.

    Witnesses say the suspect came in from the emergency door, from the outside, had a black vest on and threw gas canisters before opening fire -- during a gun scene in the movie.

    There's a 3-month-old who is one of the injured. Who the FUCK takes a 3-month-old to a midnight showing of freakin' Batman.

    If you're looking for a local stream, 9News.com is generally regarded as the best local outfit out here and is doing a very good job.

    Horrible, horrible, horrible. It'll be tough to suppress the shudders, for a good while.

    And I'm against gun control (surprise, profilers!) . . . but the segment of the Colo population which goes beyond conventional WingNuttiness is truly exceptional -- and not in a good way.

    The stories from people in the theater is truly heartbreaking.

    And the helicopter shots over the theater, and you see all the cars in the parking lot ...

    ABC News has already spoken to his mother.

    So if this guy had mental health issues, how does he have guns? And you thought gun control was not going to be part of this election.

    24-year-old. Lives in north Aurora. Has a car with Tennessee plates.

    Only contact with police previously was a traffic ticket last year.
