And in other news ... guess who's planning on attending the funerals?

    Yep, it's them.

Hopefully, there will be a run on baseball bats at the Aurora Wal-Mart.

A few years back one of our well-liked posters suggested that he might take his newborn baby on a month-long cross country car trip. Paraphrasing, he said, "I've heard they're highly portable."

    1) Half y'all thought it was a good idea.

    2) Not one person said, "Don't do it. The baby might get shot by a madman armed with 6,000 rounds of ammo."

Baron. I know we have had our differences on posts but I agree. WTF is wrong with these people?

Surprised no one has bought up the possibility that this was a suicide-by-cop?

The reports about Holmes' apartment are scary. Sounds like he had the place rigged to kill several more people, including potentially police officers. And they haven't even gotten fully inside yet.

The WBC doing something stupid and outlandish to get attention is not news, and talking about it is giving them everything they want out of it.

Hell, my workplace is way more likely to be someone's final resting place than a movie theater. Whether one brings their kid to the movies is a good discussion for a thread far more trivial. I guess after 9/11, no one should have brought their kids onto airplanes.

That seems to be their MO of late ... announcing they'll be there, but then pulling a no-show. Among activist groups, only PETA is a bigger attention whore.

And at least PETA sometimes uses sex appeal to try to get its point across.

Having seen what I've seen of the WBC, let's be glad they don't, shall we?

Key word is "planning". They send a fax or email to the local paper and everybody freaks out about it even though they don't show a lot of the time.
