I actually thought that she really did have her quotes taken out of context when that story first ran and almost said as much. This seems like a much more likely way that convo played out.

Reporter: Hello ma'am. This is Mitch Cumstein from ABC news. Are you the Mrs. Holmes whose son James is currently living in Aurora, Colorado?

Mrs. Holmes: Um, yes. You have the right person.

Reporter: Well, ma'am, your son has been accused of shooting up a movie theatre.

Mrs. Holmes: Oh my god. I need to come to Colorado.

I absolutely believe she was referring to herself in the "You have the right person" quote.

    Apparently, no one told you.

Prisoner is someone in prison. Inmate is someone in detention center.

And he hasn't been in solitary in prison. He was in solitary in the detention center.

Here's a hint: You don't get conjugal visits. ou don't get shit but a hard bed, a toilet and a sink. That's it. That's the list.

In fact, you can't even get books. People can photocopy you an entire book and mail it to you, but you can NOT receive anything with a binding. You have to pay $8 for a tube of toothpaste. It's ridiculous.

So yeah, I don't think Holmes is really "suffering." But he's not doing a lot better than some on here. He's just not. And he shouldn't be.

And yes, DD, you're right. I'm sorry. But the shit on here about how "pampered" prisoners are and all that shit just pisses me off.

You shouldn't apologize, IJAG. The troll made a comment about our family. That's low even for him.

James Holmes used evidence bags as hand puppets.

You could give them every creature comfort in the world. The door would still lock from the outside, and that's the point.

This is political (Edit: It really isn't, because it's the remarks of an idiot), but goes to show how stupid people can be in public statements. Former Arizona State Senate President Russell Pearce calls out the men in theater crowd for not stopping Holmes.

    He "apologized" last night.

Few things enrage me more than post-tragedy cowboys who think, if I was there, shit woulda been different. It's like when Michelle Malkin essentially called the Virgina Tech students cowards for not disarming Cho. We don't have to get political to call these people fucking morons.

Yeah, I have no patience for people who like to play Monday Morning Quarterback after horrific tragedies...
