I said I'm done arguing with people who stubbornly and arrogantly misinterpret what I am saying.
    Such as, oh ... you.
I am willing to concede the tear gas played a greater part than I had considered.
Also, this seemed to be a theater full of the 16-19 y/o set.
Just bewildered that no one acted.
I don't know what is so objectionable about stating that.

This actually makes the apartment part of the plan make sense. He wasn't trying to kill police officers with that shit in his apartment, he left the door ajar and music on so a neighbor would walk in and the shit would blow, which would have diverted the response to the theater. My guess is he anticipated the apartment blowing up before the shooting, and that's why he mentioned the booby trap to the police.

    In other news . . . . .
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/25/aurora-shooting-victims-tv-networks-name_n_1701093.html

NEW YORK — Some relatives of people killed in the Colorado theater shooting are urging television news outlets to resist using alleged killer James Holmes' name and image in their stories for fear it gives him the infamy they believe he craves.

Two families made that specific point to Anderson Cooper on CNN, who said Tuesday he has largely complied. Some news experts, while saying journalists must be attuned to these sensitivities, also warned against losing sight of the chief responsibility to inform the public.

I think there is some merit to this.
Just call him the 'accused movie shooter,' or something like that.
James Holmes doesn't need to exist anymore.
His name is not important to anyone.

    From Children's Hospital Colorado:

The other hospitals are doing the same thing.

That isnt a little pea shooter.
That is a weapon brandished competently by an old gentleman who knows how to use it, who kept his wits about him and acted decisively.
And you saw the way the little wuss ran when someone decided to tell him in one movement to go fuck himself.

How would he have done against a guy in a SWAT uniform who threw tear gas canisters and came in shooting to kill, not trying to rob?

Not to mention in the dark.

Brandishing a gun does not make one invincible.
If anything, it renders you susceptible to all manner of attacks.
Talk to anyone with military or defense training.
Guns have their limitations and need to be reloaded.
As Deep Background indicated, there were people close enough to this guy to feel the casings.

Contribute to the discussion or step aside.
I will do so when asked by Moderator1, babe.
If you can satisfactorily persuade me I'm wrong then I'm willing to admit it.
But this is all just bad logic being taken for a spin.
    I can't go for that.
    No, no, no.

Yes, everyone else has bad logic, not you with your Monday morning quarterbacking of a horrific situation that no one in that theater was expecting. Yep, you really nailed us there.
