    It's lazy to keep painting this guy as exceptionally smart when he didn't show he was any different talent-wise from his peers in an advanced science program.

    Meanwhile, many of the same folks calling for more laws restricting gun ownership are also calling for the legalization of drugs.

    I'm sure that won't have any negative consequences.

    Is it even arguable, though, that where marijuana goes (and I'm not now nor have I ever been a user) the consequences of criminalization far outweigh the benefits?

    The coverage in general. But this gets into it early.
    I have seen a few stories refer to him as brilliant.
    His own internship supervisor even said he was a poor candidate and not any kind of precocious scientist.
