Yeah, people in New York and Boston never talked about the Buckner error 10, 15, 20 years after the fact. ::)

And Junkie, that minor league team you're talking about has won as many World Series since 1921 as both the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians, despite being around since only 1969.

Boston people still lament Buckner. We Mets fans -- except for an occasional laugh as Red Sox fanboy loosers -- moved on years ago.

I'm fine, just had to take at least one shot at the Indians there.

It was the five-spot in the order.

    Another one for the board...
In addition to the 1985 World Series, Don Denkinger was an umpire for three other significant events in Royals history...what were they?

The shameful thing is that minor-league team split the season series with the Cardinals last year. Swept them in St. Louis. That's pretty sad. Cardinal fans should expect more than their team getting swept at home by a minor-league team.

    Brett's 3000th hit?
    Saberhagen's no-hitter?
    And ...

I'm arriving way late, but this series was one of my fondest sports memories of my youth...

The ALCS that year was unreal as well... I have a ball autographed by the entire 1985 Royals team.
