You still gonna buy me a tall, frosty glass of STFU, though? :D

writing irish, I loved that ballpark, too. That old gal always did try to stay pretty, she was just no match for the blistering heat.

You're going to have to tolerate my Ron Francis model. Though if you do find an Leafs authentic of Francis that costs less than a Porsche, I could be persuaded.

If that can't be done, I'll take a mask of Paul Maurice. With all due respect to Peter Laviolette, I miss that guy.

If you show up and if I show up, I think we should bet on who owes who a drink.
If the Yankees are in first place (Please, God, please) then you owe me a beer.
If the Red Sox are in first place (If there really is a God, this won't happen, unless it is just another lesson for Red Sox fans about being in first in June only to piss away the AL East, again, in July, August and September and then finish behind the Blue Jays, then I will buy you a beer).
So, depending on who is in first place, that is who will buy the beer.

But, as you said, the Red Sox always are in first place in June.

So did Billy Hunter, following the four-managers-in-one-week surreality in the Summer of 77 (it was a wacky one in Arlington as well as NYC and London).

"He's not gonna make a lampshade outta me!" -Doc Ellis on Billy Hunter. This from the man who supposedly no-hit the Padres while on acid.

Great Rangers from the old days: Sundberg, Jenkins, Burroughs, Hargrove, Harrah. Campenaris at the end of his career. Then later on: Buddy Bell, Gaylord Perry, Al Oliver (one of the 1970s' most underrated players, IMO), Jon Matlack, Bert Blyleven, Jim Kern. Richie Fucking Zisk. Bump Wills. Mickey Rivers! Of course there were bad times too, like Roger Moret going into a catatonic state.

So, just out of curiosity, when is the outing taking place?
