I would be all for option C, but I think Moddy said the rule was it had to be a major league team. If he weighs in, I'll know for sure.

The Rangers are a major league team? :)

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall that rule as well.

Well, I'll have my car (seats five) and Angola's car seats five as well. Depending on how many come and if anyone else has wheels, we could just carpool-caravan.

We also could just say screw it and pitch in for cabs, van service, etc.

Pitch in? If you figure four to a cab, and it's a $45 (minimum) trip I'm assuming, each way, that's $90 for every four people. Every day. So we're looking at probably $450 a day, just to go to the game.

I'd like to thank IJAG for volunteering to look for a hotel. And apologize for not getting it done sooner. I'm new at this whole "plan a trip for a bunch of people you've never met except via a message board" thing.

If there are a good number of people coming, I'm almost certain that you could find a van service that would charge much less.

Right now? I think I have 10. And that includes three "iffys." So unless people start PMing me, I'm not sure how many rooms I should ask about.

I still think Arlington is a better idea, and then we take a day to FW or something.

Don't worry about cabs. There should be enough of us to carpool wherever we want to go.

For day stuff, let's try one day in Dallas (Sixth Floor Museum/Uptown/Lower Greenville) and one day in Fort Worth (Stockyards/Sundance Square).

IJAG, I will attend but won't be staying in a hotel, considering I live here and all.

Well, if Arlington's cheaper, and we have carpool ability, maybe Arlington's better after all. Considering the higher-than-a-cat's-back hotel prices, I'm all for whatever's cheapest at this point. Wonder if any of those crack motels on East Division would cut us a deal.

Uh, just a suggestion since the dates don't seem to work for my particpation: If some of you are there, why don't you look into hotels instead of making IJAG do it blind?
In fact, one of you can volunteer to be the weekend host with the most.
