TO? If I knew more about Dallas, I would take over the hotels part, but I honestly still haven't been there. If it were Fort Worth we were staying in, I could probably help.

Got ya. I saw the period after "D.C." and assumed it was not the end of a sentence.

What price range are we looking at? This far out with a good-sized group, we might be able to get a decent rate at a nice hotel. Somewhere in the $80-$100 a night range OK with everyone? I'll start sleuthing, but I too am a DFW hotel newb.

And if you're going blind, STOP DOING THAT!

A.) I'm not sure how good-sized of a group it is. I think, at best (I only got three PMs) we're looking about about 12-14 people.

B.) There's a link off the Rangers' Web site where there are hotels in Arlington that offer discounts to Rangers fans. So I'll call them today.

C.) IF WE'RE POSITIVE we'll have car pool availability, I'm fine staying in FW. But I'm not going to get there and then get told I need to pony up a couple hun for cab rides to the games and back.

I am sending out a PM later today to everyone who has PMed me and whom I know is at least considering going on this outing. So if you want to be part of the decision-making, I REALLY need you to PM me. Plus, Inky's going to have to get tickets soon, so we really need to start figuring out who's in and who's out.

Toronto hotel wasn't that small, unless you tried to cram six people into a room made for 2.

    BUMPING THIS LIKE A MOFO.

Guys, I have 10 people on the list. And that includes two non-board members attending with others and three "maybes". I have been in touch with several hotels. I'll post the info later and I'll take votes FROM THOSE WHO ARE DEFINITELY ATTENDING.

PM ME IF YOU WANT IN. I am not kidding. I'm starting to get exasperated.

OK, here are the hotel choices, all in Arlington:

    1. Baymont Inn and Suites
    link

$84.99 a night for rooms with two double beds. It has an airport shuttle, and will hold a block of rooms for us. They would just need a credit card to hold it, with the first night's depost due 30 days before we check in. To get that deposit back, you'd need to cancel at least 14 days out.

    2. Country Inn and Suites
    link

$69 a night for a single (king bed in the bedroom and a twin sleeper sofa, but the guy said the mattress is only three inches thick, so it's not comfortable) and $84 a night for a double (two fulls or two queens with the sleeper sofa). They are one mile from the Ballpark and have a trolley that picks up nearby and is free for people staying there. They can hold a block of rooms, but will have to release them 21 days before we check in.

    3. Crowne Plaza Suites
    link

This is my personal choice. A bit pricier, but you'll see why.

They are out of double beds, so they have king bed suites. That's a king bed in a bedroom and a full-size sleeper sofa. It's $102 a night without breakfast, $108 with one (if you're staying single) and $114 for two. Breakfast is normally $9.50 (but I don't plan on ever being up in time for breakfast). You figure no breakfast, three people (if you don't mind sharing a bed) and you're looking at like $35 a night each. It includes free high-speed, and a shuttle service not only from the airport but anywhere in a 3-mile radius. So we go for free to the park AND the bars. No carpooling necessary around Arlington. They also have a heated indoor pool, hot tub and 24-hour fitness room.

    Y'all let me know.
