Re: 2007 Dallas SJ outing (July 20-22) Time to order baseball tickets

I think that the planning for an outing should start immediately after one. In this case, Dallas should have been planned for following Toronto. And maybe there should be a committee planning the get togethers.

Obviously, the mastermind behind this outing had reasons to pull out. But for it to fall to IJAG and Inky isn't fair to them. They certainly deserve all the credit in the world for keeping it on life-support as long as they did. If there's a committee--I believe JR and HC conspired with SportsJournalists.com's other Canadians to make Toronto the success it was--perhaps the Dallas outing has more than six posters attending.

I will now retire to my little corner of the world wide web.

And hockeybeat put into English what I've been trying to say for the past half-hour.

Angola, I hope a new crew does develop. And if it does, that makes next year's event that much stronger.

(P.S. sportschick, not meaning to get at you at all, please don't take it personally.)

HB's point hit home here. Now is there someone in place for Seattle in '08?

And no, I don't think Dallas should be scrapped. Who knows what could happen?

Joe and I are making plans for Seattle now. My cousins, whom I was depending on for advice, are moving, but it'll get done. I expect dates will be announced soon after the baseball schedule is released.

If I don't get drunk-dialed, I will be sorely disappointed.

I will hit new levels, you will hear about it, I am sure. I may have to leave my laptop at home so I am not allowed to post.

I drunk-dialed from Seattle on a personal trip, so what makes you think you won't get drunk-dialed from Dallas?

That is no fun. The best was the four of us in a room in Toronto, all on laptops, all posting on SportsJournalists.com. :)
