Are any of the East Coasters who passed on this showing up to the one-day NYC gathering?

 

I'm going to attempt to be there, since I'll only be five hours away.

 

Mayhaps. There's a Chinese bus line a few blocks from my house. Here to New York for 20 bucks, three hours quicker than a trip to NY should be. If someone can pick me up in Chinatown, I'll buy them a dead duck hanging in a shop window.

 

MM, you're probably best off just taking the subway from Chinatown.

 

I am also considering a Chinatown bus. Hmmm...

I'm likely to go to the NY drinking deal because I found out today I won't be getting any vacation this year due to being shorthanded this summer, so this is as good as it'll get for me unless I quit my job and go on a whirlwind tour before killing myself on New Year's Eve this year.

 

Easy subway ride from Chinatown up to the midtown area where we will be gathering. Lots of trains to Times Square area... $2
