    Found this on the WWL.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3740201

JoJo Reyes, Brett Lillibridge and another top prospect for Boone Logan and Vasquez.

Reyes, 3-11, 5.81 ERA; Lillibridge .220, four HR, 39 RBI in 90 games at AAA.

    Vasquez 12-16, 4.67 ERA; Logan 4-4 5.70.

And another copyediting error by the WWL:

What's the word on Logan, Hank? I'm perfectly fine with giving up Reyes, and while Lillibridge has some potential, I don't think he's ever going to be the Braves' shortstop (or even 2B) of the future.

Vazquez isn't a great improvement, but he's better than most of the bums the Braves were throwing out there for the last three months. If Glavine and/or Smoltz can't come back, and now that Hampton's gone ... the Braves' pitching is completely FUBAR. They need help in a big way.

Don't really know a ton about Logan. Just what I remember from seeing him play the Tigers. He never really showed much consistency. One game he'd be lights out and the next he'd get lit up.

They gave up nothing and got equal value in return.

Jair Jurrjens looked promising in their rotation but kinda suffered from the usual rookie setbacks late in the season. Who knows what Tim Hudson will be like when he comes back. The Braves are in desperate need of picking up a big name pitcher in the offseason.

That's about the extent of it, yeah.

I don't understand why the Yanks didn't offer arbitration to Abreu & Mussina. Moose, they should have learned their lesson from Clemens when they got screwed out of a draft pick when he changed his mind to go to Houston. No downside to offering it. As for Abreu, there's a minor risk that you get stuck with him for a year at an inflated price (11-12 million?), but he's probably looking for a mulit-year deal, and I bet he'll get it somewhere. Now they get no compensation, and if they are as active as it seems they will be, they are going to lose some of their own picks. Another lost draft, falling further behing Boston & Tampa, who have probably been 2 of the 3 best drafting teams in recent years.

For 1 year, you live with him. So far they don't have a better option - Nady is not an every day player on a playoff team.

I think Nady would have been a good fit on the late 1990s Yankees. He's not great at any one thing, but does everything well.

He could have been part of the parade of part-time leftfielders, which is what he should be.

I think he's solid, a poor man's Paul O'Neill. What's the harm in playing him 150 games? Is he appreciably worse than Matsui or Damon or Bobby Wallbanger?

If by poor man you mean a far worse player. He can be valuble if used correctly - platoon at an OF corner, back up the other & 1st. If the Yanks sign Tex, as the should, Swisher fills that role and Nady become extra.
