I wonder what passes for "too Wrigley-like" at the United Center.

Ivy on the end boards? Fans throwing pucks back onto the ice if they're shot into the crowd by an opposing player? ;)

Oh, the diehards like to kvetch about all the bandwagon fans and the little promotions that cater to them. They're probably just bitter White Sox fans who hate joy, sunlight and bright colors.

That's the sort of remark that makes me think of the ChiSox and the Cubs as the Mr. Sluggo and Mr. Bill of Chicagoland baseball. :D

That's very true. The Cubs are punkass like Mr. Bill. But the White Sox are even lamer because Mr. Bill is the famous star while Mr. Sluggo is just some obscure asshole. Even in victory, he fails.

I don't know whether I told you but there were about 50 family and friends of David Bolland at the Air Canada Centrea at last Saturday's game.

David got the OT winner a you know. He was at The Goose after the game with some of his buddies and then they all headed downtown. Team wasn't heading out until Sunday.

The Hawks stayed in Toronto to attend, as a team, the wake for GM Dale Tallon's father.

Burke is finally signed. Six-year deal (rest of this one, and five more).

Did you take a wrong turn?

There's something weird about IJAG on the hockey thread. :)

He is very good. Enjoy reading him, and when he appears on the Hot Stove.

Oh, and I have my hockey crush. I can't remember his name now. DiPietro? Is that it? Some goalie.
