From what I understand, the problem with the case against David Frost was that two of his "boys" gave sworn statements to police and then recanted those statements on the witness stand. It would have been a much different case had they repeated in court what they had already sworn to police was the truth.

    Yup. That's exactly what happened.

Doesn't matter. The guy won't every get a job in hockey again---at least not in this country.

    Or in this country.

I hope not. The difference between him and Graham James is that James was actually an accomplished coach, which he parlayed into a job coaching in Spain upon his release from jail. What the hell were they thinking.

CP ran a simialr story yesterday, except it had Tambelini basically saying it was premature to fire the coach, but they better sweep or at least show life on this two game road trip to St. Louis and Dallas or else.

So far it looks like MacTavish may have a stay of execution as the top two lines are kicking some ass with a 4-2 lead in St. Louis, despite still being outshot with 10 minutes remaining. The top line's chemistry is back, and is responsible for three goals and this is the best the kids have looked the entire season. The other two lines have been invisible.

Trades are going to happen with this team, they need to regardless of whether the coach goes or stays, if for no other reason than to clear the clusterfuck in the crease, also some physicality needs to be added in a big way.

And yes they have played more road games than any other team this season, but it's then at home you hope to see some life in them and they have been absolutely brutal at Rexall this season.

I wonder if MacTavish's take on Burke in Toronto will be the Wizard of Oz finally landing in the Emerald City?

OK, I love HNIC but good God, can they get rid of PJ Stock?

    He's an embarrassment.

I'm all for enthusiasm but the guy is barely coherent.

They're interviewing Curtis Glencross on After Hours.

The guy does the rodeo circuit in the summer. Kid never got drafted, played US college hockey in Alaska.

    Cool story

I also believe he sucker punched one of my coworkers at a party when they were in their late teens. Put him in the hospital I believe. They are from the same area. Actually not to far from my home town. Pretty sure I got the right guy.

Glencross wasn't even much of a player in the AJHL, was actually kind of surprised he got a scholie and all. Was definitely a late bloomer. I know the Oilers miss his energy though.
