Spezza has a hat trick after two.

Sens up 3-1 over the Pens.

I think I'll keep my eyes closed for most of the Leafs/Caps game tonight.

    OK, that was funny.

Stock: I'm telling you, if a goalie comes out of his crease to play the puck, he's fair game.
    Hrudey: You're nuts.

Tough guy to goalie. Both turned TV commentators.

(And JR, please spare me another rant about how much you can't stand PJ. It was a moment, OK?)

No rant except to say if PJ Stock had another brain he'd still be only as half smart as Hrudey

    You're far too predictable sometimes.

It's called old and set in my ways.

And I'm cranky because it's snowing here.

For what it's worth, I also think if a goalie leaves his crease to play the puck, he should be fair game.

With all the armour they have on, they're better protected than Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

I've always figured, if you can rattle a goalie at or near the start of a game, that's half the battle right there. Wire a shot or two at his head, crash the crease, steamroll him if he comes out of the net, etc. As Reg D would say, "you gotta twist 'em, you gotta fuck with 'em."

Batman Begins has been on Showcase. But I did tune in just in time to see Antropov's goal.

Very nice. How Washington left the slot wide open like that is kind of puzzling, though.

    Why is that?

Think about it - running more goalies leads to more scrums and more fights. We're talking win-win here!!! :D

    Fair enough.

But only if goalies can do the Eddie Belfour castration move on players like Tomas Holmstrom every time they crowd the crease.

    Old time hockey!
