Sounds like a painful digital divide.

But three broken fingers? Sounds like he might have slipped with the machine still in hand and the fingers might have been pinched between the handle and the concrete/pavement/whatever.

Had that happen once ... my thumb was between a heavy object and a sheet of ice over concrete. How it didn't break I'll never know, though I'm grateful.

From the Raleigh, N.C., News and Observer Web site:

    The cutline:
From what I understand, the Pirates couldn't make it that night, so Carolina played the Penguins.

Someone in the process had either East Carolina disease. I refuse to point to Pittsburgh's baseball franchise. Pittsburgh's hockey franchise is actually run by people who have a clue, therefore shouldn't be confused with the Pirates.

Game of the night at the Verizon Center, where the Caps host the Bruins.

Caps up 2-0 as Brent Johnson just robbed Blake Wheeler.

I've been watching that one as well. Johnson has some incredible saves in this game.

In a shocking development, the Lightning have blown a 2-0 lead, and trail Buffalo 3-2 after two, Vanek with his 21st and 22nd for the Sabres.

Melrose is doing a jig right now.

Why does this happen as often as it does? I know Pittsburgh used to have an NHL team called the Pirates, but it moved to Philadelphia in 1930.

Ovechkin with an empty netter with less than a minute remaining. Caps up 3-1.

Would love to see a Boston-Washington playoff series.

Flames lay an egg in Montreal last night and now they're beating Detroit.

This team needs to be on bipolar medication.
