B's and Caps should be a blast to watch come playoff time.

Huet looking sharp during the first period and three-quarters of tonight's Hawks home game against the Sens. It appears like the playing time has helped his game. Chicago's embarrassment of riches in net can't last forever, as it doesn't leave them cap room. A tough decision will be forthcoming, but no telling when.

Huet trying to kill a 4:00 Ottawa PP now.

Brent Johnson has clearly and without a doubt been the Cappies best goaltender this year. He's played great and every time he gets a start I expect them to win. That's not the case with Theodore, who has not been anything more than average.

Except the Flames blew a 2 goal lead in the third and now it's into OT

Is there ever a year when Lidstrom is not a Norris contender?

Way to go Flames. You blew a two goal lead TWICE and lost in OT. Mike will be very happy

I should have waited to post this week's blog. See #3 on the scoreboard about snowblowers: www.MDdireect.org

I believe that Mr. Sakic stuck his hand into the blower. Even with the machine turned off, there is enough built up torque in the impeller to do damage once the obstruction is cleared.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Joe Sakic's return to the ice has been sidetracked by a snow blower.

The Colorado Avalanche captain, already out with back problems, broke three fingers on his left hand when he tried to clear snow from the machine at his home and will be out at least three months.

In high school, a buddy of mine lost two fingers when he tried to clear an electric snowblower.

Good game in Detroit. Gosh, seems like no lead is ever safe against the Wings. Oh, well, that's why they have that Cup thing.
