Eric Staal has scored two power play goals. The Whalercanes have only allowed three shots (not counting a Guillaume Latendresse penalty shot goal. On a thoroughly unrelated note, I'd just like to say Guillaume Latendresse is my favorite name in sports) and lead the Habs 2-1 in the second.

Sam Mills and OnDeadline will be pleased.

Does Bryan Deasley care any more?

He's an agent. Agents, even those that are fired, care about clients that can bring in money and notoriety.

Todd Marchant is skating in his 998th NHL game tonight.

From what I've heard about Deasley, he generally cares only about clients he is being paid to care about. And are you sure he's still an agent?

The Oil could use a little lube, as they're getting it in the ass from the Hawks 7-1 in the third.

Beef's going to be pissed at how badly Garon played, and the silly penalties that led to three PP goals out of the 'Hawks first five.

Hopefully, Beef isn't watching this one.

Make that 8-1. I cannot recall a team being on the wrong end of breaks and bounces as Edmonton has been tonight. I mean, Chicago has dominated, but not enough to justify a seven-goal margin.

What does anyone think of the new Gamecenter from ESPN.

Pretty damn impressive overall, although as usual, the "conversation" area is a waste of bandwidth. I like the charting of shots on goal and the league-wide scoreboard on this sidebar is a nice touch.
