Sigh ... the 'Code' raises its ugly head again:

No hate. Just an observation. Dawes has all the skill a player could want, but he has not been able to put them to use.

You know what he is? A shootout specialist.

As long as the Rangers win those shootouts :D

But....but....but...there is one.....Grapes told me so on Saturday night. :)

It's funny but non hockey people make it sound like it's some sort of mystical religion.

Pretty simple: pick on someone your own size, no sucker punches and when it's over, it's over.

There's a very real possibility that, in order to land Mats Sundin, that the Rangers release Dawes.

I'd be for that. I have no loyalty to Dawes, just pointing out that it was a pretty sweet goal he put in in last night's 3-1 win over the Ducks.

I don't think Sundin is the player that Rangers need.

Not taking anything away from him or the goal he scored last night, but Dawes is a great AHL player but nothing more than a shootout specialist at the NHL level.

And sometimes ... just sometimes ... it isn't about sticking up for someone, it isn't about team rivalries, it isn't about fighting just to spark up your team ... sometimes it's just about two guys who can't stand each other.

I'm a huge Sundin fan but he should go back to Sweden for the rest of the year.
