Can I tell you how damn weird that is. Last night I was thinking about how the outdoor game should be played REALLY outdoors on natural ice. And what's one of the most photographed spots in Canada? Lake Louise.

Scary shit. McGuire and I am on the same wavelength.

Problem with Louise is a lack of seating for 20,000 or more people. You'd have to spend a boatload of money to accomplish that. At the other Winter Classic venues, the seating's already there and all they had to do was build a rink. To do both would be a huge logistical and financial problem.

Next up - JR duets with Boom 70 on "The Maple Leaf Forever" and "God Bless America," backed by a chorus of baby seals. ;D

If the Lightning are indeed shopping Stamkos, what an indictment of their scouting department.

Send him to the minors if you don't think he's ready right now. Fine. But to give up on a guy at age 19 who you just made the top overall pick in the entire draft just six months ago????

Either you didn't know what you were doing then, or don't know what you are doing NOW.

You know he lives in a log cabin with no running water or electricity, right?

And he's snowed in six months of the year.

He has an old black phone and it takes him an hour to dial up sj.

I don't think they can send him to the minors, he'd have to go back to his junior team in the OHL.

And honestly, I don't think they're shopping him at all. The Lightning have put him on a program to work on his strength of late, giving him nights off now and then, and since then he's seen a bump in his production.
