Thanks, Sea Bass. That's information that has dropped out of my memory banks ... no use, no retention.

A propos of nothing at all, if the playoffs started today, first round would be the Battle of Alberta, first once since '91.

    We can only pray.

Somebody want to tell the Canadiens that the all-star break is over?

Watched the Bruins/Caps game on Versus courtesy of TSN. Bruins win in OT.

The Versus announcers were annoying as hell. They spent half the time having conversations instead of focusing on the PbP.

Leafs are getting whacked by the Wild 5-1 in the third

The PBP guy does all the Caps games. I think he's gotten pretty good over the years. I have no idea who the color commentator was.

For such a good, intense game the ending was anti-climatic. At least it sucked as far as I was concerned. But I doubt many others were flipping between that and the MD game like I was.

Andy Brinkley is the color guy. He is also the Bruins color commentator.

Oh, I thought it was the Bruins pbp guy since the game was in Boston.

That was a seriously flukey goal, particularly since both Thomas & Theodore made fabulous saves in OT just before

And tap the Whalercanes on the shoulder with the same reminder, eh?

0-for-4 on the PP. Looking less organized that some bad minor-league hockey I've witnessed at MSG. Egads.

Rangers are now 5-1-1 in their past seven after tonight's dispatching of Sammy's Whalercanes :D

Went to the Canadiens-Lightning game tonight. You could have said the same thing about the Bolts after the first period, gave up 20 shots, and were lucky not to be more than 2-1 down.

Mike Smith made a bonehead play to give Montreal its second goal, but made some incredible saves, most notably on a 3-on-1 shorthanded break in the first period.

When the Lightning came out for the second period, it was like night and day from the first. More physical, buzzing about more, and got rewarded with three goals. You wouldn't have thought it was the same team.

Lots of Canadiens fans at the game, as always. Got a good laugh when Hamrlik went to the box in the third and I started chanting "Lightning Reject" at him. Montreal fan in front of me turned around and gave me a hysterically funny dirty look.

And last but not least, I and CC are now the proud owners of Evgeny Artyukhin mini-bobblehead dolls. So that's nice.

    Evgeny Artyukhin?

    I assume that's a joke. Please tell me it's a joke
