    I think so.

I'll go one step further. I think the Flames win the West.

Someone needs a jump to conclusions board.

They're hot right now (no pun intended) but they are not going to win the West. They will definitely win the division, but not sure if they win much else. I don't think they have the horses to go the distance. Their defence still needs a bit of shoring up, although they are playing better, and they will burn out Kipper before the post season with no suitable back up to give him a breather.

It is still Detroit's to lose. San Jose, like the Flames, have a lot to prove in the second season, and if I had to choose between the two for which had the better chance to get it done, that would be the Sharks, all biases aside.

It comes with a red sauce from all the blood he spits up from the constant shit kicking he is given by the real fighters in the league. He is more than willing though, I have to give him that.

(And yes the error in his name is intentional just my way of mocking yet another terrible player decision by the Oilers. It was so worth it to keep him over Glencross.)

I know much less about hockey than those who post regularly on this thread, but I don't see how any team besides Detroit or San Jose wins the Western.

I went to the gym when it was 2-1.

    Agreed.

Beef, I <3 you. If you're ever thirsty and in Cowtown, let me know so I can buy you a beer.

That should fetch some major coin on eBay in a few years time.

So them going into the Shark Tank and handing San Jose its first regulation loss in 11 months means very little at this point.

They had a letdown after that, but Cammellari has given them a second scorer to compliment Iginla. It's the first time in a while that it's this deep in the season and Iginla isn't the Flames leading goalscorer.

They score goals, they play well defensively, they need a slightly more consistent effort out of Kiprusoff, but I think they are very close to the top two.

Let's see them sustain this kind of intensity through a couple more months. They still run the risk of bipolar mood swings.

As any Keenan team does, and the flames have had those issues dating back to before Keenan was coach.
