I remember going to a Lightning game very soon after I came over here.

Cloutier shut out the Red Wings 3-0, and was fantastic the entire game. It was hilarious laughing at all the Dead Things fans as the sadly trailed out of the arena.

Combine these with an old Expos pinwheel cap, and ... well ... :-X

Never said the Cloutier was better than Luongo. Just said he happened to be the goalie during those years (2002-2005).

OMG, just saw the uniforms the Canadiens wore on Sunday. God-awful!! From a distance, they looked like prison garbs.

Really just a couple of things
The east looks alright, really not sure who is coming out -- if I had to choose, I would pick Jersey -- but you rate the Leafs way to high, still a lot of dismatling to do on that team before they can build it back up again. at least two more years away from the playoffs.

    In the West
Calgary will win the division, but as normal will not get by the first round, they're hot right now and everything is clicking, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that lasting. Kipper will burnout with a couple of weeks left in the season and will be crap in the playoffs again, and then the D will start trying to over compensate again and they will be exposed as they were for much of the beginning of the season before Kipper found his game.

The Ducks will not make the playoffs. Too many passengers on that team, especially among the vets.

Phoenix will make the playoffs. I do not think the league has any say in their hockey operations department outside of the cap. They have not been lent any money, just forwarded money they would otherwise be getting later in the year in the form of profit sharing. They get in.

Columbus I'm not sure about, definitely a bubble team, they need some help yet for Nash. If they don't squeak in this year they should make it next.

The Oilers have a got-to guy, his name is Ales Hemsky. The problem is, the go-to guy has no one to play with. Not sure how to root here. If they make the playoffs I have a reason to follow closely and get my hopes needlessly up. If they lose MacTavish hopefully is shown the door. Ah hell who am I kidding. The guy is a cockroach, would survive a nuclear bomb in Edmonton. The rest of the franchise would be decimated, but he'll still be there. fucksakes.

  6. Hey, if MacTavish's career can survive actually killing someone, it can survive anything.

TSN is reporting that Craig Harstburg has been fired as head coach of the Ottawa Senators. He is being replaced by their coach in Binghampton. Gotta wonder when GM gets the axe as well.

    Those Montreal uniforms were brutal.

And Claude Julien can do no wrong this season, it appears. I ask you SportsJournalists.com hockey fans, would you trade one of Fernandez/Rask before the trading deadline? I don't think there's any need to with the way they're playing, but it's something to think about considering the Bruins seem to have 3 quality NHL goaltenders. If they can get a quality, experienced scorer, I think it makes them even more dangerous though.

Jerseys aside, what was really weird was seeing the Canadiens wearing a white maple leaf on their blue helmets. As soon as I saw that detail, I figured they would lose. ;D

I knew I should have looked it up, went back and forth on that.

    I now feel shame.

Hartsburg is made the scapegoat here. if he's getting fired, he shouldn't be the only one.
