wow, i just saw the fight between shawn thornton and alex henry. quality. henry landed a few good shots at the beginning, but thornton smothered him in the second half of it.

No. I'd feel much more comfortable having both Thomas and Fernandez going in to the playoffs. Let Fernandez and his $4.3 million walk after this year, and go with Thomas/Rask next year (assuming they get Thomas re-signed).

Plus, after how little they gave up to get Rask, it'd be a damn shame to trade him for a rental.

Yeah ... my brother's FB status says he doesn't think Hartsburg is the one who should've gotten canned.

From AP story: Clouston is the team’s fourth coach since Ottawa appeared in the 2007 Stanley Cup finals.

Claws reaction: Makes me think the Devils aren't the only ones who like to hire and fire in a short span. Lou's not secretly running that team, too, is he?

See Lou likes to do that as the team is running well a few weeks before the playoffs start. So I think Sutter has another month before the axe falls on him.

If it were me, I'd trade Fernandez in an attempt to to get some cap room.

The only reason I have Toronto 11th in the East is because I think they are marginally better than the quartet of Tampa, Long Island, Atlanta and Ottawa. Plus I believe that those four teams will wave white flags on the season come the deadline.

As far as your beloved Oilers, I really think they need to add a go-to goal scorer to skate alongside Hemsky.

Beef: I'd say that Sutter would have been a great coach for the Oilers, but then that makes too much sense.

Is Pat Quinn actually in the hunt for any NHL coaching jobs or was all that just talk during/after the World Juniors gold?

Bad news for the Habs: Lang is out indefinitely.

It was one of those "you had to be there" things.
