That's it. Still brings a smile to my face.

    Thanks Beef.

I take enough pot shots at the leafs and their fans -- I thought you could use some memories of happier times.

Yeah. Belfour seems like a million light years ago.

I've pretty much stopped watching the Leafs. Not entirely, mind you but I stop watching at the first sign of a train wreck.

My hockey focus right now is on the Brampton guys.

Cody Hodgson was OHL player of the week and Thomas McCollum was OHL player and CHL goalie last week.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but look out Rimouski, here come the Troops

I still say the Battalion have the coolest uniforms in the CHL.

Never been fussy on the name, though. I don't like singular team names. Not to mention that a battalion is a unit comprised of 500 or more soldiers - a hockey team would be better described as a platoon.

Hey, that's it - the Peel Region Platoon! Can I get a "Hell Yeah!!"?? :D

    Big night at MSG tonight.

Adam Graves gets his No. 9 raised to the rafters, between Mark Messier's No. 11 and Brian Leetch's No. 2.

Hm. I have a very rare black third jersey signed by former troop Michael Vernace, now with Lake Erie in the AHL.

    Bidding starts at $250.00. :)

    Fail.

    Not you, the Rangers.

The Rangers are honoring Graves for the man he is and then the player he was. I agree that the Bathgates and Howells (who will be honored by the Rangers on February 22) deserve to have their numbers retired.

Speaking of Nieuwendyk, anyone else remember the night he got hit and skidded face first into the side of the boards where the Edmonton Oilers had their door open for a line change? I thought he was done for but, if memory serves, he didn't miss a whole lot of time after that did he?

Flames look like they'll drop another one tonight. Wonder how hard the panic button will get pushed around here tomorrow.
