I hope Songbird had fun up close at the Islanders-Lightning game.

A goalkeeping tandem of Karri Ramo and Mike McKenna for the Bolts. Not the way to enter an NHL game. Danis played very well in net for the Isles.

Leafs blow a two goal lead and lose to Florida in OT

And guess who scored the winner? Bryan Fucking McCabe.

Isle's coach Gordon had a great quote when asked about the Isles #1 goalie

    "Whoever's starting the game".

    Priceless

Cripes, you'll never find a more impotent bunch than the 2008-09 Rangers.

On the night that the organization honors the heart and soul of the 1993-94 Rangers, the current edition loses, 2-1, to Atlanta in the shootout.

Danis has been in net for the Isles four-game winning streak, and for the last seven overall.

BTW, I can't imagine that Islanders, four-game, winning and streak have been seen in the same sentence in some time. Good for them.

    GB,
Story today in Newsday about Danis. That's where I read the Gordon quote

The Islanders have more goalies than Carter has pills

And a big shocker here: Bertuzzi was heartily booed in Denver. Have no clue why ...

Yes, he was ... I was watching with a terrific sense of glee ...

Good grief ... Whalercanes give up a shorthanded goal in last two minutes, lose 4-3. Vancouver snaps nine-game home losing streak.

It's nice to pull for a slumpbuster ...
