With the Kings two points out of the eighth seed, I cannot see Lombardi dealing anyone. I can see him adding to the Kings, considering they have a ton of cap room (last I heard, LA had $11 million available).

Do I think the Rangers add a top flight scorer? No, I don't, although they need scoring like a person in the desert needs water.

If they got Avery, it could be met with The precursor that as soon as he steps out of line they will let Orr have his with with him. And I mean that in a tottally non-gay way.

The Kings are absolutely in the playoff picture, but if they decided they needed to add a top-defenceman or something else, they do have a nice chip in Frolov to move, if he is available. But he only moves if it makes them a better team, I believe he is an RFA at the end of the season, and depending on how much they want to pony up for him.

    Lots of information :

"The source would not say when Jagr would report to Edmonton, how much he would be paid, or how long he would sign for"

However, it was confirmed that Jagr has grown back his mullet.

I am freakinging ecstatic over this. He would have signed this year had the Oilers gave him a two year deal apparently, but Lowe balked and would only offer one. The fact it looks like he'll be in Edmonton next year is big. Although he won't be the 100+ point Jagr, even if he is close to a point a game Jagr would be huge. He is still playing well this year -- currently 51 points in 48 games -- and if he is at all motivated, and I think he will be, 80 points shouldn't be out of his reach, especially playing with Hemsky.
Even if he doesn't come this year, this is still huge. This news has made my day. 8)

Two best teams in the NHL, Boston & San Jose now on Versus.

1-0 Boston about four minutes in.

Probably as intense a regular season game I can remember watching since the Colorado-Detroit wars a few years back.
