Seven more games of that in June would be entirely acceptable.

Except the Wings will be playing the Caps in the Final. :)

And in the "Who Gives a Shit Game", Leafs blow a three goal third period lead and lose to the Panthers in OT.

Damien Cox has a nice piece on Dominic Moore in today's Toronto Star

Slowly, s-l-o-w-l-y, I've been rediscovering the offensive game I had my whole life," he said yesterday after a team workout at the BankAtlantic Center. "In New York, I had to make the team as a defensive player and a penalty killer. Then the way this league works is you get labelled as just that. And then, it's great, you've made it, but then you have to battle against the stereotype with which you've been labelled.

One of my favourite Leafs. Is fast as hell, works hard every shift and is a thoughtful interview. I hope Burke keeps him. Would be a good solid third liner on any team.

I am trying so hard to avoid the cheap shot . . .

    Ah hell, here it goes.

But if he is rediscovering that offensive side of his game, that third liner on any other team could be a first liner with the Leafs . . .

    Here's a Kings factoid.

In its history, LA has never gone 5-0-0 on a five game road trip. However, they had gone 4-1-0 three times: 1976-77, 1990-91 and 2001-02. LA made the playoffs in 1976-77, 1990-91 and 2001-02 seasons.

Following last night's 4-3 shootout win in Uniondale, the 2008-09 Kings finished
a five game road trip 4-1-0.

Finally a little good news for the Penguins in 2009. Gonchar cleared to play.

I read the other day that the Leafs have taken more too-many-men penalties than any team in the league. I think it's because when Wilson calls out "third line" the entire bench jumps on the ice.

Washington defenseman Mike Green has scored twice tonight at MSG. With both goals, Green has tallied in seven straight games, breaking the record set by Mike O'Connell 25 years ago.
