Sandberg's a Hall of Famer, no doubt. Morgan's an idiot. But he was also by far the better player of the two.

Joe Morgan had won more titles, got on base more and stole more bases.

Joe Morgan's best seasons were far and away better than Sandberg's best seasons.

 

That's possible. Mays was actually very nice in a segment with Mark Grace during the parade.

Maybe he was just tired and not feeling well by the time of the pre-game ceremony. Or maybe he's just a jerk.

I don't know. But I do know that this isn't the first time that Willie has come off as less-than-gracious in a public appearance.

Also, as I learned as a Yankees fan in the late '90s, the Big Red Machine was way better than the late '90s Yankees. In fact, Morgan and his group were also the greatest group of baseball players ever assembled.

I'm not saying he is better than Sandberg, cause I really don't know, but fuck Joe Morgan.

He is fucking useless as an announcer and he comes off as a bitter douchebag when talking about the past. No one cares you were built like Dustin Pedroia and had a "HOF" career.

Go fuck yourself Joe. I'm happy the Yankees didn't have him on the field tonight.
